Company policy for electronical business - credit cards

This dissertation work deals with the subject of a company in the area of e-commerce, which represents short-term or long-term plans in controlling the financial relationship toward the outer environment but also inside the company. The problem of possible abuse of credit cards is briefly analysed as well. The impulse for choosing this topic was increasing number of falsification and abusing of credit cards. When this subject is analysed in detail, the problem connected with lack of information on this particular area of crime inevitably appears. Clients of individual banking institutions often do not have even the basic knowledge about the ways their cards could be abused or misused. This is why the question of certain, at least minimal, basic information campaign done by the banks, which are supposed to protect the financial means of their clients. This dissertation work sets its goal in creating the methods of investigation of credit cards abuse not only in the Czech Republic but in the growing system of countries of Schengen Treaty and European Union. The benefit of the work can be seen in the level of theory as well of practice. The theoretical part of the work contains the analysis of the current situation of scientific knowledge in the area of information and communication technology of companies, which is implemented into information systems. Then the advantages and disadvantages connected with this kind of e-commerce are assessed and the specific opportunities for abuse of these media of payment are characterised. The problem sees mainly in writing a specialised publication, which would deal with the problem of abuse and falsification of credit cards and its possible use would be at police academies. Its main part should be the characteristics of particular forms of cards forging and also possible identification of these forgeries. This book could also help in prevention and inform clients of financial institutions about the ways of credit cards abuse. In the practical part, which concentrates on the Czech and foreign market, the author sets the basic premises for realisation of safe business of companies in the Czech Republic and its procedures. Furthermore the reasons of e-commerce abuse in the Czech Republic are analysed and results of quantification research presented. This was concentrated on ascertainment of reason of low interest in information among the public. In the conclusive part of the work the whole problem is summarised and there are also outlined perspectives and possibilities of further development
Mobile phone NFC payments

This bachelor's thesis explores the technology behind payments by NFC chips. The first part of this thesis is theoretical and maps all the needed technologies connected to NFC. It shows the history of NFC, how it was developed and how it looks today. Including all the current applications and specific options for the user of contactless payments. The main part is dedicated to the safety and encryption of payments by NFC technology. The second part of this thesis shows developing mobile application for Android using the Xamarin framework. It shows the whole process of developing an application using encryption and the NFC technology, and testing the application in the field. At the end it includes analysis of possibilities with usage of NFC in wearable electronics and possible future developments in this area.
NFC payments using mobile phone

This bachelor thesis is focused on the current trend in usability of mobile phones which is paying contactless at merchants using NFC. The beginning of this thesis is aimed at explaining basic terminology, business model, current market share of mobile operating systems and technologies such as NFC, Secure Element, Host Card Emulation and tokenization. This part is followed by categorizing and describing different applications for contactless payments in Czech Republic. These applications can be viewed as applications released by certain banks (bank applications) or by other companies (nonbank applications, often connected to a specific operating system). Part of this thesis is also aimed towards wearables and potential future development regarding contactless payments in Czech Republic. Main goal of this thesis is to analyse different applications based on predetermined criteria. Conclusion of this analysis is used to fulfill the goal of this bachelor thesis which is identifying the most advantageous applications. Last objective of this thesis is to sum up a list of recommendations for potential users to secure their experience.
Modern technologies in retailing

The bachelor thesis is focused on modern technologies in retailing. In the beginning is an introduction, than are described selected technologies. Last of all is carried out an analysis of useres experiences with modern technologies in retail stores via a research. The research on this topic is carried out by putting specific questions related to the aims. On the basis of the research conducted I offered some suggestions which relate to an expansion of the self-checkout systems and its promotion as well in a chosen retail store.
Actual trends in contactless payment, contribution of Apple and analysis of market in the Czech Republic including consumer preferences

The main objective of this work is to analyze current trends in contactless payments and consequently implement it on the Czech market. On this base this thesis deals with several wearable devices. Furthermore on this base is also working in the application part, where is one of the secondary objectives of the work to determine consumer preferences on the market of the Czech Republic. One of the secondary objectives is create a brief summary of the history of payment cards and within the sociological aspect to find a certain analogy in introducing innovations in the field of payments towards current trends in contactless methods. Within the secondary objectives there are simultaneously defined key assumptions forms of payment for success on the market. The following section focuses on electronic payments. Specifically, it deals with trends in electronic payment services, where for its implementation aren´t required the physical presence of the card or chip. Furthermore there are analyzed alternative paths in the current payment methods, namely peer-to-peer platforms. On these platforms is based shared economy, which also represents an interesting potential for the possible development of payment field. Chapter with alternative methods for cashless is finished by analyzing digital currencies. The hypothesis of this thesis is whether Apple can have an impact on the area of contactless payments and how it can affect the entire sector. Part of the hypothesis is the claim that Apple manages to change the area of contactless payments, such as happenede in the music industry with iTunes and then in the telecommunications industry with a revolutionary iPhone. Potential benefit of Apple is defined by the method of description. Potential contribution of Apple Pay is characterized by logical deduction base on previous relationships. Conclusion is by quantitative research method, namely through the consumer research, assessed consumer preferences in the Czech Repulic and is also evaluated the hypothesis of potential benefits of Apple contactless payments.

Analysis of contactless payments

The aim of this thesis is to provide a comprehensive view on the issue of contactless payments in various forms, as well as capture the actual situation in the field of contactless payments. The first chapter is devoted to the emergence and development of payment cards as a forerunner of contactless cards. The second chapter characterizes contactless cards as a new payment product. Additionally it also includes a description of the technology, which is used for this kind of cards. Chapter also deals with the arrival of contactless cards to Czech Republic and Slovakia. The topic of third chapter is Near Field Communication, special technology, which is used for contactless payments and also for the other forms of contactless payments, such as mobile payments. The fourth chapter talks about mobile services that are actually used for mobile payments. These services are not available in our region yet, but we expect their further expansion into European countries in the future. Finally, the last chapter includes an analysis of data, where we used statistical data of contactless payments in Slovakia and Czech Republic. The aim was to outline the development of contactless payments in individual quarters in both countries separately and to compare the data of contactless cards and payments in these countries.
Analysis of modern payment methods

This bachelor thesis is focused on the modern payment methods, which has nowadays became one of the most popular and used form of paying. The aim of this work is to formalise an analysis of modern payment methods and define its factor of successes. The bachelor thesis is being divided into several chapters. The first chapter is sourced from (available) written literature, highlighting the main definitions, focusing on the given topic in general but also briefly describes the historical points of view on it and the theoretical methods of critical success factors. The next chapter describes payment methods, which are being used nowadays, then focuses on the analysis of payment methods it self. Methods that are new, modern and innovative in different forms. Each method gives the basic information, function, security, typical situation and advantages and disadvantages of different forms of modern payment methods. Through this analysis we can determine the factors of success of payment methods and creates a discussion, which will result into a summary of factors that should improve and help with the development of the new payment methods. The last chapter contains selected forms of payment methods tested in real conditions.

What is their opinion on technology, and how they are perceived. To achieve the main objectives was used marketing research (survey), focusing primarily on modern technology for retail customers and the advanced technology used in the world. Subsequently, the processed results and suggestions for improvement.
Electronic payments on the Internet

This Bachelor thesis deals with issues of card payment on the Web. It deals with current state of the electronic means of payment. The aim is to familiarize readers with these issues. The first part describes the history of credit cards in the world and the Czech Republic. Furthermore, it analyzes the characteristics of credit card and its types. There is described in detail the security system 3-D Secure, which is now the international standard in the field of card payments over the Web. In this Bachelor thesis there is mentioned the ISO/OSI model and SSL and HTTPS, through which payment is processed through the 3-D Secure and, to make it complete, there is described a digital certificate authority. Then the example of implementation of this standard in online shops and the description of current options for payments over the Web follows. There are listed the security risks of this payment. There are the results of the survey in conclusion, whose aim was to analyze the Czech public awareness of the payment card and to determine level of use of card payments on the web in the country. The reader of this work obtains a comprehensive view on the issues of card payment over the Web. The work would give an idea of how the payments work and what alternatives payments over the web there are. Furthermore, it should point out ways of obtaining sensitive information to his credit card or account.
